I think making bully a hate crime isn't wrong at all. In my opinion, the crime must be punished according to the gravity level that has had the certain realized action. Bully situations which are commonly seen nowadays, may have not all the same casues or consequences. But the precautions must be taken before it is too late. The most valuable words Gaga said, with the whole reason in my opinion were the next ones: - "It is important that we push the bounderies of love and acceptance, it is important that we spread balance and equality for all students". - "Treat each other with kindness...because we're all we've got."
I can´t even believe how someone can consider taking bullying as a hate crime. First of all, most of the times the ones who are victims are, or have been, victimizers too; I'm not justifying it at all but what I'm trying to say is that change starts for each one of us, so, instead of saying beauty and politically correct words we can transfer them to concrete actions, and this take us to the next issue: "It is important that we push the bounderies of love and acceptance, it is important that we spread balance and equality for all students", I mean, that phrase is utopic from it's gist, of course we all want that but words are always eassilly. Finaly, I think it's totally wrong that they asume the kid take that fatal decission just because he was bullied at school, I think that if you take such a big decission as taking away your life is because a lot of things had confluenced. In conclussion, I think: bullying should be only punnished at school but not taken as a crime; the fact that a famous person talks about it won't make a change and that of we really want to change something we should start from ourselves.

In the second place, bullying destroyed people, and this affects them emotionally and sentimentally. As I see it, the bullies are not criminals they are such a big as******. I mean, because of their hateness an inocent should be punished? Should they release their anger on others? From other view,the blame in not on them (bullies), because it is not their fault I do not kno, having a hard childhood from examples. The psycological health is a right. In our society, who acts against human rights is commiting a crime. Of course I believe that Bullying is caused by another psycologial difficuly and it has to be resolved thinking on this. I think that bullying is an incredibly devastating way of hurting somebody but I don't believe that taking it as a crime is the right solution. The psychological injury caused by bullying is not easily detected but all of us know that it exists and is one of the most terrible ways of pain. In my opinion, bullying is a topic that needs so much attention and we ought to find a new solution to it, but I don't agree with taking it as a crime that law has to solve.

I totally agree with Lady Gaga’s idea. In my opinion, bullies should have the same punished than the person who commits a crime, an ABUSE or a violation. Because, at the moment we think about the laws, and what are the penalties for a man who abused of a girl, we immediately say he should be in prison. So, why should the children that commit an intentional act to someone who is weaker than him or make him feel uncomfortable and rejected him from the society can be free? One of the answers may be that the bully, who usually does it, is transiting a similar situation from the boy who is bullied. Regardless that, I consider there are different grades and types of bullying. I’m not right with the idea of making bullying a hate crime when the situation is controllable. In fact, if society could, it might be an excellent idea to give a special inquiry and treatment to the bully and the victim that bear that difficult situation.

ANSWER: I have to tell I'm very impressed by this, I really agree with lady Gaga and I think is great what she's doing for this kids. I believe that bully is a real serious subject and I think the best thing they can do is start to consider the bully as a hate crime, Somehow you are doing something with justice and its a better way to apprehend the ones that commits the bully acts. I really believe that someone like her or Rick Mercer (of course because they are stars) are seriously influencing the minds of the bully kids, and its amazing because they are awsome, they are in the top of the world, so is more powerful what THEY SAY about this than anything that any other person could say.
